| Description & Mission |
The main target of ITS Hungary Association is to support and promote the realization/ implementation of the Hungarian intelligent transport systems and services taking into consideration the main guidelines/goals of the Hungarian Transport Policy (effectiveness of transport, road safety, sustainability, competitiveness). |
| Main Achievements |
In the year of it’s foundation, the ITS Hungary Association organised professional events (presentations regarding the overall telematic plan in Austria and electronic fee collection in Slovenia, workshop regarding the Hungarian participation in the CONNECT Euro-regional project) in the field of ITS systems and services. Moreover ITS Hungary hosted the meeting Network of National ITS Associations in 2006. In 2007 in addition to the ITS events had organised by ITS Hungary (workshops/presentations regarding the Hungarian participation in the 2nd phase of CONNECT Euro-regional project, and regarding RDS-TMC, conference in the field of “transport and geoinformatics”), the so-called “ITS Hungary Prominence Prize” was announced. The Board of the Association announced the Prize with the aim to honour – also in this way – the most prominent project (realized/implemented by the members of ITS Hungary) in the field of ITS systems and services. In 2007 the “Map Vision” project of Térképtár Ltd. won the “ITS Hungary Prominence Prize”.
In 2008 – similar to the previous years and in line with the general targets of the ITS Hungary Association – ITS Hungary organised ITS events (workshops/presentations regarding co-operative systems, regarding e-ticketing and within the theme of Hungarian ITS Framework Architecture). In 2008 the “ITS Hungary Prominence Prize” has awarded to COWI Hungary Ltd. for the “HITS – Hungarian Framework Archtiecture Plan for the Hungarian Road network, as well as the Harmonisation of the Hungarian systems architectures” project/study. |
