Description & Mission

Mission statement: The Intelligent Transport Society for the United Kingdom (ITS United Kingdom) promotes the use of Intelligent Transport Systems within the UK and UK technology and expertise overseas.

 

Strategy:

The mission of ITS United Kingdom shall be achieved by:

- Creating and maintaining an up to date vision of the future requirements for Intelligent Transport Systems and Services to meet the transport needs of the UK

- Encouraging the use of appropriate technology within the transport sector including information and communications technology

- Encouraging and supporting appropriate overseas missions and promotional activities

- Encouraging the use of Intelligent Transport Solutions for Safety, Environmental Improvements, Traveller Information Services, Public Transport and Traffic Management

- Drawing together active players to further the debate about Intelligent Transport Systems deployment in the UK

- Informing and educating about the benefits of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services

Main Achievements ITS United Kingdom represents the whole of the UK ITS sector with its wide public and private membership. 
Current and Future actions To provide comprehensive services to all Members through our full programme of events and information exchange.
