ITS Network meets in Prague

The Network of National ITS Associations met in Prague for a two day meeting on 15-16 October.  During the afternoon of the first day, members of the Network along with members of the ITS National Associations participated in a series of four workshops.  The workshops focused on Strategy, Regulation & Standardisation; Road User Charging; Road Safety and Green Transport.  Presentations were given by a range of speakers from the Network and also from the ITS industry and provoked lively and valuable discussions.

The day rounded off with a dinner hosted by Kapsch Telematics Services where Network members were able to relax over a fabulous meal and stimulating conversation.

The Network meeting on the second day was attended by seventeen of the Network member associations some of which presented the latest developments in ITS within their countries.  Mr Meyer, CEO of ERTICO presented several new initiatives where members could become involved, thus enabling the Network and ERTICO to work together in pursuing their common goals.  Future activities including Network presence at the next ITS World Congress in Busan, potential study trips and Showcase 2010 were also discussed at the meeting.

The next meeting will be hosted by ITS Network Germany, 4-5 March 2010 in Hanover.
