ITS Romania holds its General Assembly.

The General Assembly of the Members of ITS Romania was held on May 31st at Hotel Ibis Bucharest.
The event brings together every year all the members of the organization (individual experts and representatives of companies) to discuss the activities realized in the past year and the strategy and objectives for the current year.
The 2011 General Assembly had a major importance because the previous management mandate has ended and one of meeting’s objectives was the election of a new management team.
In the opening session, two special guests, Mr. Cristian ANDREI, director of Road Safety Department at the National Company of Motorways and National Roads in Romania and Mr. Anastasie SEVERIN, head of the Department for Traffic Management and Planning at the Administration of Navigable Canals presented their own vision towards priorities and opportunities for intelligent transport systems -.
Other points of discussion were:
- Presentation of two new members: Polystart Security and University of Craiova
- Update of Statutory Documents
- Defining ITS Romania strategy over the next 4 years.
The new management team is lead by Mr. Dorin DUMITRESCU who previously held the position of Director General and was now elected as President, Mr. Mihai NICULESCU as Director General and Mr. Florin NEMTANU as General Secretary.
