ITS United Kingdom Local Authority / Urban Interest Group Conference

Following on from ITS United Kingdom's successful and well-attended 2006 Local Authority/Urban Interest Group Conference, the next conference will take place at the City Conference Centre, London EC2 on 6 February 2007.
The theme for this conference will be using urban intelligent transport systems to deliver policy and operational objectives – Feedback from real world urban ITS implementations. The conference will include a Session arranged by the UTMC Development Group.
Contributions are particularly sought on the following topics:
- Integration:
- ITS implementation for the Traffic Management Act - ITS implementation for LTP2 - Urban Traffic Management and Control Urban / Interurban interfaces
- Subsystems:
- Information for Travellers and Managers - Application of ITS for Environmental benefits - Using ITS to integrate Streetworks management with traffic management - Parking Guidance and Management - ITS in Emergency Planning - Enforcement in urban areas - Traffic Data Collection
Guidelines for Presentations:
- Should include achievements, benefits, lessons learnt, and institutional issues overcome - Must have done it “for real” - Must be relevant to the Local Authority context and theme of the seminar - Must be real feedback of use / interest to others - No paper is needed - A 100 word outline of the content of the proposed presentation is required by 12 December 2006 - Slides must be provided by 23 January 2007
