The event is organised by ITS United Kingdom, a member of the ERTICO-hosted Network of National ITS Associations. Since Smart Moving 2003, intelligent transport systems (ITS) have become truly mainstream. Safer, quicker, cleaner and more reliable movement of people and goods is being achieved through the application of ITS. But demand for travel continues to increase, and ITS must keep pace in order to continue to deliver those important benefits. Above all, the importance of ITS in enabling smart choices and decisions for travellers and those moving goods is now coming to the fore. Accurate, easily accessible information will create a truly smart travel and freight environment, and is the key to successful integration.

At Smart Moving  2007 you will hear how the very latest ITS solutions and applications deal with the management, technical, institutional and legal issues surrounding the various aspects of: smart roads, smart vehicles, smart travellers, smart freight, smart communications, smart ticketing and payment.

Traffex 2007
Traffex 2007 will run concurrent with Smart Moving 2007 (17-19 April) and will see 350 world-class suppliers from 35 countries exhibit the very latest in traffic management and road safety solutions. Engineers, designers, contractors, members of the emergency services or workers for central/local government, are invited to this essential event. It is the ideal environment for visitors to network with existing and prospective customers in an international arena.

ERTICO participation
