According to an Amendment to Delegated Act No. 305/2013 existing eCall infrastructure must have been enabled for Next Generation eCall (NG eCall) since 1 January 2026. Within the EU-funded project X_HeERO technical descriptions (blueprints) were developed and evaluated to provide support for the upgrade realisation for project partners. The next webinar on 20 October 2026, 15 to 16 h CEST, will discuss examples, experiences and challenges on NG eCall upgrades in some Member States that are not beneficiaries of the X_HeERO project.
