Autonomous vehicle systems are nowadays, from a technical point of view, ready for standard operation. While more and more cities are testing the use of automated vehicles in local public transit to expand local transportation options, the widespread introduction of autonomous mobility still faces a number of challenges. How can individual projects be transformed into robust, economically viable applications? How can autonomous systems be put into operation in compliance with the law? What standards apply across Europe, and where do national regulations differ?
On 2 and 3 September 2026, in Hamburg, the Lex Mobilis Congress will for the first time bring together experts from regulatory authorities, industry, municipal utilities, law firms, operator organisations, associations, and research institutions to address current issues and challenges related to the widespread adoption of autonomous mobility.
